Every sec there are people out there or bots out there trying to penetrate into your pc, servers or laptop. They want to gain control or implant some small programs or codes which are called Malware, viruses, trojans, remote control codes, etc into your pc, server or laptop so that they can either make use of your internet surfing data/habits, steal information, play hacking -Script kiddies, attacking or trying to crash your pc, server or laptop, trying to remote access into your systems, etc. So many things people are trying to do out there.... phew .....
