The most popular server's operating system currently is Microsoft's Windows operating systems like Windows 2008, Windows 2003, Windows 2000 (Already end of life (EOL) according to my Microsoft premium support accounts manager. But if your company is still using Windows 2000 server, you can ask for the extension support. But ultimately you will still have to upgrade to Windows 2003 server. As Microsoft had limited patches support for Windows 2000 server and their premium support staffs are also recommending updates (E.g. From China, US, etc support sites) So do take note.
